From 1980 to 1989, Ms. McDougall was employed by KPMG LLP (formerly Thorne Ernst & Whinney Chartered Accountants) and as a Senior Manager was responsible for managing accounting, audit and tax work for clients in a variety of industries. In1989 Ms. McDougall joined BDO Canada LLP (formerly Hyde Houghton Chartered Accountants) as the Manager of Quality Control for the Toronto office. She was later promoted to Audit Partner and Professional Standards Partner for the firm. From 1995 to 2011, she expanded her knowledge by working in industry as Treasurer for a company in the distribution industry and Vice-President, Finance in the leasing industry. In March, 2012, Ms. McDougall returned to public accounting and joined Doxsee & Co., Chartered Accountants as Manager, responsible for accounting standards and taxation.
Ms. McDougall graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting major. She holds a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA) designation, and has successfully completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Course, Parts 1 & II.
In the past, Ms. McDougall has served on the Board of Directors of a number of charitable and not-for-profit organizations and has recently joined the Board of the Etobicoke Chartered Accountants Association. She currently resides in Toronto, Ontario.
